BEERSE - The food company Colac gave the start of the new building on the Beerse-Zuid industrial estate on Thursday 29 September 2016.
The Colac company has been producing ice cream mixes, dessert sauces and fruit preparations since 1981 for both industrial food companies, catering establishments and bakers. After 35 years, Colac is leaving the industrial site in Malle to plant a brand new location ten kilometers away, in the Biezenstraat on Beerse-Zuid.
Colac invests 10 million in a new location.
The symbolic placement of the first column of the new building took place on Thursday 29 September 2016 on the site. All staff members gave a helping hand. “Colac is investing ten million euros in new production buildings, machines and storage facilities that will be operational on 1 September 2017. These investments also take sustainable and environmentally-aware business technologies into account,” says Jeanne Cloetens managing director of Colac.
With the new boilers and new production lines, the production capacity will increase by more than 200%.
